Bostik is proud to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious Outstanding Partner Award from the Shanghai Association of Food Contact Materials (SAFCM). This award recognises our significant accomplishments in the food packaging industry over the past few years, notably our attainment of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certificate for Food Contact Materials (FCM) based on GB 31603 – 2015, which is a mandatory regulation governing all food contact materials implemented in 2016.  Rock Wei, Bostik Shanghai Site Manager, attended the awarding ceremony as representative.

We embarked on a seven-year journey of rigorous internal audits to ensure compliance with the comprehensive framework of the GMP Certificate for Food Contact Materials (FCM). In addition to growing consumer preference for third-party certifications for transparency and credibility, we partnered with an external agency - SAFCM to conduct an extensive audit of our processes and products. SAFCM operates under the Shanghai Institute of Quality and Inspection, a division of Shanghai's market supervision and administration, which provided valuable insights and lend credibility to the audit process with their expertise.

The attainment of the GMP-FCM certificate attests to our unwavering commitment to quality and compliance in food contact materials standards. This is a positive step forward in raising the standards of the packaging industry to ensure the quality of food for consumers.
